Sai Baba Episode #20

How Baba Walked into our Lives

Sai Ram Everyone. One of our sai sister shared her experience with Shirdi Sai Deva. She says, “When we think of baba or want to talk about him, we don’t know where to begin. He is always with us and has always been with us. We come to realize it only one fine day. I have always felt a spiritual presence with me, but did not know that it was baba.
My dad visited Shirdi1almost more than fifteen years ago and he bought a small beautiful statue of baba. I was very young then and did not know anything about his greatness. I just took the statue and kept it with me in a curio shelf. Years passed and I did not even look at the statue even once. I forgot his presence also as I did not know anything about him. I changed three houses and then, four year ago, one beautiful day as I was generally looking around my room my eyes fell on the statue of baba. I have always felt that some divine power was always answering my prayers and guiding me but I never understood that it was baba. Just like in the Sri Sai Satcharitra he was pulling me with his strings. I just got up and went near him and looked at baba’s statute. slowly every day I was drawn to him and I started looking for stories about him. Nobody in my house were his devotee. we are a usual Hindu family following the regular Gods and not very much into saints. I became more and more drawn into him. I started visiting his temple regularly and I did not speak about him to my family. I started praying to him. I told him baba “I am a regular housewife and I wish to visit Shirdi, you should only bring me there. I cannot travel there alone unless my husband allows me to go.
So, I am leaving everything on you. You make the plans for me. A few weeks went by and one day my husband’s friend came to visit him and, gave him a picture of baba from Shirdi before leaving; and asked him to keep it in the pooja room. My husband also did as he was told, not because he was a great devotee but because it was a picture of a saint. Every day he has the habit of doing Aarthi for all the gods in the pooja room. After almost three days of the arrival of the baba picture, he just randomly came and told me that he wants to go to Shirdi. It was an awesome moment for me and I had not even asked him about it. Baba worked in his mind and drew my husband also to Shirdi along with me. Today my entire family worships baba and baba came home in life-size form and I do Aarthi each day for him in the morning as well as evening. everyday miracles happen and everything that happens is a miracle of baba to me. He has removed fear from my life and he means everything to me. jai baba”

Man is lost and is wandering in a jungle where real values have no meaning. Real values can have meaning to man only when he steps on to the spiritual path, a path where negative emotions have no use.
